Original Plakat zur Fussballweltmeisterschaft 1954 in der Schweiz (deutsche Version) "Der Torwart" Die Endrunde der Fussballweltmeisterschaft fand vom 16. Juni bis zum 4. Juli in der Schweiz statt. Sie endete mit dem denkwürdigen Endspiel welches als das "Wunder von Bern" in die Fussballgeschichte eingehen sollte. Im besagtem Endspiel bezwang die deutsche Mannschaft den haushohen WM Favoriten Ungarn mit 3-2 Toren. Zur Fussballweltmeisterschaft 1954 in der Schweiz wurde von dem bekannten Künstler Werner Weiskönig ein Plakat erstellt. Der Künstler Werner Weiskönig wurde 1907 in Chemnitz geboren und lebte bis zu seinem Tod 1982 in St. Gallen in der Schweiz. Dargestellt ist ein Torwart in Aktion, deshalb wird auch öfters die Bezeichnung, "Der Torwart" für dieses Plakat verwendet. Das Plakat hat die Abmessungen von 128x90 cm. Gedruckt wurde diese Farblithographie in der Druckerei J. C. Müller aus Zürich. Erwähnenswert ist auch noch, dass es dieses Plakat in drei Sprachen gab (Deutsch, Französisch und Italienisch).
