Description

Nashville Tenn., 5c Brick Red (61X3). Large margins to clear, radiant color, tied by blue "Nashville Ten. Sep. 14, 1861" circular datestamp on green all-over advertising cover for wholesale grocers and dealers in liquors and tobacco, M'spedon & Baker of N.Y. imprint on top flap, to Athens Tenn., stamp lifted and replaced, backflap repaired VERY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT BRICK RED NASHVILLE PROVISIONAL USED ON AN ATTRACTIVE ALL-OVER ADVERTISING COVER.
