Description

1915 censored cover sent internally to Chiraz with an overprinted 6ch, correctly paying the internal rate, cancelled BOUCHIR (DEPART) 23 VIII 15. A Chiraz Arrivee 29 VIII 15 ties the bilingual censor tape. The British occupied Bushire on 8th August 1915 and the British Forces controlled the post office until 18th October 1915. These overprinted stamps were used during this period
