1829 MAIL CLIFTON, BRISTOL TO EXETER WITH DISTINCTIVE SMALL TYPE 'BRISTOL/PY POST/DATE' BOXED HAND STAMP (BS146). Fine letter from 'Lower Crescent, Clifton' in Bristol dated Nov 28 1829 'To Sir T D Acland Bart MP, Killerton, Exeter' with manuscript 'via Salisbury' and charged '1'. On front fair strike boxed 'No.2' receiving house hand stamp of Clifton in black and on reverse good strike 'BRISTOL/PY POST/NO 28 182' small type distinctive boxed hand stamp of Bristol (BS146), hand stamp only in use 1829-1830.
