CIRCA 1880 MOURNING ENVELOPE WRITTEN BY PRINCESS BEATRICE (5TH DAUGHTER QUEEN VICTORIA) ON HER BEHALF. A very fine and clean mourning envelope, circa 1880 written by Princess Beatrice, 5th daughter of Queen Victoria and addressed to 'Her Royal Highnefs, The Princefs Louise the Duchefs of Argyll, Kensington Palace, London' and endorsed at lower left 'The Queen' all in the hand of Princess Beatrice. At this time Princess Beatrice acted as Private Secretary to the Queen and signed on her behalf. On reverse 'CROWN/V R' crest on flap and fine Royal wax seal. (Ref 132711)
