Description
Santos Dumont autograph. A photographic postcard featuring Santos-Dumont's legendary No. 6 airship journeying to Suresne. This unused card bears the signature of Santos-Dumont in black ink across the face, with pin marks present. The Santos-Dumont No. 6, an airship designed and built by the Brazilian pioneer aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, holds historical significance. In 1901, Santos-Dumont piloted this aircraft to victory in the Deutsch de la Meurthe prize by completing a round trip flight from Parc Saint Cloud to the Eiffel Tower within thirty minutes.
