(Puerto Rico) 1918 registered envelope to La Romana, Dominican
Republic, franked U.S. 1c. and 12c. tied by unclear black Mayaguez
date stamp, reverse with two violet cds of Set 27 one that has been
overlaid by censor tape, maybe kept by censor as next backstamp is
from La Romana date Oct 2 1918, front with blue m/s “no reclamado”,
various registration handstamps and final return Mayauezcds of Abr
15 1920. A repair was made to the envelope at La Romana with the
paper used tied by light blue-green handstamp, on return violet
three-line ‘Received in bad condition at Dead Letter Office, San
Juan, Porto Rico’
