(29.8x42 cm) wurden vom IOC-Präsidenten Edström und von Marcel
Henninger, dem Präsidenten des Schweizerischen Olympischen
Komitees, signiert.

Diplom London 1948/2 Teilnehmermedaillen/Tagesbericht. Die XIV.
Olympischen Sommerspiele 1948 fanden in London statt. Kurt Gassmann
war als Chef de Mission in London dabei und betreute 171 Sportler.
Die offiziellen Teilnehmerdiplome (57.5x43.8 cm) wurden vom
IOC-Präsidenten Edström, Great Britain, dem O.C. Präsidenten Lord
Budrgley und vom Präsidenten der Spiele, Mr. Portal, signiert. Als
Anerkennung erhielt Kurt Gassmann (Chef du Mission) die offizielle
Urkunde der Olympischen Spiele in London 1948. Zusätzlich sind zwei
Teilnehmermedaillen der Spiele und Kurt Gassmanns Tagesbericht
(Rapport) über die Tätigkeit der Schweizer Delegation im Camp
Uxbridge.

Unterschriften. Es handelt sich hier um eine kleine Fahne der
Schweizer Sportsegler von den Olympischen Spielen in London 1948.
Diese wurde von einem grossen Teil der Segel-Athleten, die bei den
Wettkämpfen in der Stadt Torquay (Tor Bay) teilnahmen, signiert.
Erwähnungswert sind die Signaturen von den Sportlern: Goldmedaille:
Hilary und Paul Smart (USA, Klasse Star), Silbermedaille: Duarte
Manuel Bello (Portugal, Swallow).

Original Olympische Fahne zu den Olympischen Winterspielen 1948 St.
Moritz. Die Olympische Flagge soll mit den fünf ineinander
verschlungenen Ringen die Verbundenheit der Sportler aus den
teilnehmenden Ländern der fünf Kontinente symbolisieren. Die hier
angebotene Flagge ist eine von zwei existierenden original
Olympischen Flaggen (2.5mx1.35m) der Olympischen Winterspielen von
St. Moritz 1948. Diese erhielt Kurt Gassmann für die
organisatorische Meisterleistung der Spiele. Diese Fahne ist im
"Der Sport", Zeitung vom 4. Februar 1948, Nr. 16 auf der Titelseite
abgebildet.
