China/Hong Kong Newchwang Shanghai scarce Tieprint Combination cover 1899 (Roughly opened and some creasing) to Scotland with C.I.P. 10c green tied by brown NEWCHWANG ‘dollar’ chop, and Hong Kong 1891 10c with small boxed “I.P.O.” tie print clearly struck in a matching shade of brown, overcancelled at Shanghai (5 May). On reverse, Shanghai Chinese Post Office c.d.s. (5 May) and Edinburgh T.P.O. c.d.s. A very fine example of this scarce tie print and the earliest known use amongst the very few covers recorded
