Ulrich Felzmann 34th e@uction
September 5th - 9th, 2022
Philately
For its 34th e@uction, Auktionshaus Felzmann has once again put together a fine selection of philatelic and numismatic rarities. The focus is once again on the major philatelic topics of airmail and zeppelin mail, international philately, old Germany, the German Empire, its so-called secondary areas as well as post-war philately. With almost 5,000 lots, a varied offer awaits you, for example a cover intended for the 1930 Russian voyage, but belatedly carried on the occasion of the Baltic Sea voyage ( lot 11276), from Canada, or more precisely from Nova Scotia, comes a rare cover from 1857 with a 6 d deep green halving (lot 12024), the trendy area of the People's Republic of China holds the souvenir sheet issue for the 15th anniversary in mint condition in addition to numerous other sought-after pieces (lot 12068). The Autographs section again offers a small spectrum of original signatures of important and famous personalities of modern times, including for example an autograph card of the King of Rock'n'Roll, Elvis Presley.

As usual, you will find a finely detailed selection of often very rare pieces from antiquity to modern times. (Gold) coins, medals and banknotes are again in the programme. The antique section certainly deserves special attention in this auction, but also a beautiful collection "Münster" from lot number 10193 or a large Luxembourg collection with many Essais, among others here lot 10615 (starting price: 1.800 Euro) and lot 10622 (starting price: 1.200 Euro), are among the special highlights of this 34th online auction. Also in the Germany programme is a very rare Stolberg-Rochefort thaler from 1547 under lot number 10258. In the Europe and Overseas sections, lot 10445 - an AR double denarius of the Avignon popes from ca. 1300-1303 (starting price: 760 Euro) and an extraordinary 5 Yuan Piedfort collection of the People's Republic of China from 1992 (lot number 10709, starting price: 2,500 Euro) are particularly impressive this time. Also for this auction, the numismatic department of Auktionshaus Felzmann has put together a special selection of gold pieces. Worth mentioning here is, among others, a beautiful Imperial gold coin from 1877 (lot 10364, starting price: 500 euros).
